What you need
- A P2C router with a SIM slot, such as the P2C Go pocket Wi-Fi
- An eSIM adapter card (9eSIM or EIOTCLUB) — see adapter cards
- A GlobaleSIM plan for your destination — browse plans
- A phone with the adapter card’s app, and Wi-Fi for the setup
Buy your GlobaleSIM plan
Pick a plan for your destination on globalesim.tel. Your order page shows a QR code plus the SM-DP+ address and activation code. Keep that page open; you’ll need it in the next step.
Load the eSIM onto the adapter card
Install the adapter card’s own app on your phone (9eSIM or EIOTCLUB). Put the card in your phone or the card reader, as the app shows, then choose Add eSIM and scan the GlobaleSIM QR code. If you can’t scan, type the SM-DP+ address and activation code instead.
Do this on Wi-Fi. When the app says the download is finished, set the GlobaleSIM profile as the active profile on the card.
Put the card in the router
Turn the router off. Slide the adapter card into the SIM slot the same way a normal nano-SIM goes in (follow the card shape printed by the slot), then turn the router back on.
Open the router’s settings page
Connect your phone or laptop to the router’s Wi-Fi. Open a browser and go to 192.168.0.1, then sign in with the admin password (printed on the label under the battery if you haven’t changed it).
Switch the router to the SIM slot
Go to Advanced Settings → Others → SIM Card Selection. Choose SIM (not ESIM1 or ESIM2), click Apply and enter the admin password. The router restarts, which takes about a minute.
Check that you’re online
Sign in again. The top of the home page shows the network name and signal bars, and Connect Status shows upload and download speeds. Open any website to confirm.
Abroad, make sure roaming is allowed: Network Settings → Connection Mode, tick “you can connect to internet in the roaming status”, then Apply.
Change the admin password
Click Modify Login Password at the top right and set your own password. The factory password is the same on every unit, so anyone on your Wi-Fi could use it.
If something isn’t working
No signal or no internet
Check that your plan covers the country you’re in, that roaming is allowed (step 6), and that the GlobaleSIM profile is the active one in the adapter card’s app. Then restart the router.
The router doesn’t see the card
Turn the router off, take the card out, check it’s the right way round and fully seated, and try again. Make sure SIM Card Selection is set to SIM.
I want to go back to the built-in eSIM
Set SIM Card Selection back to ESIM1 and click Apply. Your GlobaleSIM profile stays on the adapter card for next time.
Can the card hold more than one plan?
Yes. Adapter cards store several eSIM profiles. Add a plan for each trip in the card’s app and switch the active one before you travel.
